For years, teaching jewellery making has been at the heart of what we do. Now, it’s time for our name to reflect that! Our jewellery school in the heart of Stockport has a new identity, and we can’t wait to welcome more of you into our creative space.

What’s changing?

SJS Smith Jewellery remains—still full of beautiful, handcrafted silver designs by Sam Smith.

Stockport Jewellery School is where all the jewellery-making magic happens, from beginner workshops to in-depth silversmithing courses.

Bespoke Handmade Jewellery by Sam Smith

Each piece at SJS Smith Jewellery is handcrafted by me, Sam Smith, using traditional silversmithing techniques to create timeless, elegant, and unique designs. My jewellery is available for purchase in our on-site shop, where you’ll find rings, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and more – all designed with passion and precision.

Looking for something truly personal? I also take custom jewellery commissions, crafting bespoke pieces to celebrate your special moments, whether it’s an engagement, anniversary, or birthday gift.

Silversmithing Workshops – Learn the Art of Jewellery Making

At SJS Smith Jewellery, I love sharing my craft. Our fully equipped teaching studio is the perfect place to learn silversmithing, whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to develop your own creative style.

Help our Head of Wellbeing Bruce
